Payment Policy

1. Introduction

This Payment Policy explains the payment methods accepted by VegeBuddy, how transactions are processed, who handles your payment information, and how we keep payments secure. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

“VegeBuddy”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to Vegebuddy Technologies, the Malaysian operator of the VegeBuddy mobile application.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment methods, all processed through our certified payment processor Razorpay Curlec:

  • Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard
  • FPX online banking: all participating Malaysian banks
  • E-wallets: Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay, and other wallets supported by Razorpay Curlec, where available

Available methods at checkout depend on the merchant, the order value, and the customer’s region.

3. Currency

All transactions are processed and settled in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuing bank will apply its own exchange rate and any conversion fees, for which VegeBuddy is not responsible.

4. Payment Processors

We do not store full card numbers or full bank credentials on our servers. All payment instruments are tokenised by, and held with, our PCI DSS–compliant payment processor:

  • Curlec MSC Sdn Bhd (Razorpay) — processes all card, FPX online banking, and e-wallet rails. Curlec is approved by Bank Negara Malaysia as a Payment System Operator under the Financial Services Act 2013.

When you enter payment details, they are sent directly from your device to Razorpay Curlec over an encrypted (TLS) connection. VegeBuddy only receives a tokenised reference and the transaction status.

5. Charges & Authorisation

  • You authorise us (and our processors) to charge your selected payment method for the order total displayed at checkout, including item price, taxes, service and delivery fees.
  • For pre-authorisation on cards, a temporary hold may be placed on your account; the final captured amount equals the confirmed order total.
  • If a payment is declined or fails, the order will not be processed and no obligation to deliver arises.

6. Receipts & Statements

  • An electronic receipt is issued in the app and / or by email for every successful order.
  • Card / bank statements may show the merchant descriptor of our payment processor (e.g. “CURLEC*VEGEBUDDY”).

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through the same processor used for the transaction.

8. Subscription & Recurring Charges

If we introduce subscription products, recurring charges will be billed automatically on the renewal date through our recurring-payment processor (Razorpay Curlec). You will be informed in advance of the price, frequency and cancellation terms, and may cancel at any time before the next renewal date in-app or by contacting support.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at vegelahmy@gmail.com before disputing with your bank. We can usually resolve the issue directly and faster than the chargeback process. If a chargeback is filed, the related VegeBuddy account may be temporarily restricted pending investigation.

10. Fraud Prevention

We use the fraud-screening, 3D Secure (3DS) and risk tools provided by Razorpay Curlec. Suspected fraudulent transactions may be declined, held, or reversed without prior notice. We cooperate with law-enforcement agencies and card networks where required.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Payment Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the updated effective date.
