How do I delete my account?

We're sorry to see you go. To permanently delete your account and data:

  1. Open the VegeBuddy app and go to your Profile tab.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon (gear) in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll down and select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your choice by typing “DELETE”.
Warning: This action is irreversible. All your posts, saved restaurants, and XP progress will be permanently removed.
How do I report inappropriate content?

We take community safety seriously. To report a post or comment:

  • Tap the three dots (•••) on the top right of the post.
  • Select Report.
  • Choose the reason for reporting and submit.

Our team reviews reported content within 24 hours.

I didn't receive XP for my scan/post. Why?

XP is usually awarded instantly, but sometimes there may be a slight delay. Please check your internet connection and refresh your profile.

Note: There are daily limits on how much XP you can earn from certain activities to prevent spam.
How can I change my vegetarian type?

You can update your dietary preferences anytime:

  • Go to Profile > Edit Profile.
  • Tap on Vegetarian Type.
  • Select your new preference (e.g., Vegan, Buddhist, Lacto-Ovo).
  • Tap Save Changes.
Is the ingredient scanner 100% accurate?

Our scanner uses advanced AI to analyze ingredient lists, but it may not be perfect. It is designed to flag common non-vegetarian ingredients.

How do I join a “Jio” (Meetup)?

Jios are a great way to meet fellow vegetarians!

  1. Go to the Jio tab in the app.
  2. Browse available events near you.
  3. Tap “I'm Going” to join the chat and confirm your attendance.
